Convoy of Hope
– Pueblo
Convoy of Hope is a worldwide
relief agency partnering with corporations such as Coca-Cola, Kraft Foods, Wal-Mart, Target, McDonalds, Dell Computers, Fed
Ex, US Bank and others to provide assistance to people in the wake of natural disasters as well as those of our working poor and families in need right here in the United
States.
A Convoy of Hope semi filled with groceries will be in Pueblo
on Saturday September 19th to help us kick off our community outreach. Groceries
(one bag per household) will be distributed to families on a first-come, first-serve basis while supplies last.
Saturday's event will consist
of free food served and cold drinks served to all of our guests.
A children’s Kids Zone with bounce houses, food and carnival games will be provided. Ongoing live entertainment
from local Pueblo music, talent and cheer groups, free haircuts
and family portraits will also be offered during the outreach.
A Health Fair will be provided
on site. Information along with health screenings and light medical exams will be provided. Phyisicians and
medical personnel will be available on site. If you would like to contribute to the health fair or be involved please email
our Coordinator, Julie Catalano. (see coordinator contact page)
One of the most vital components
during the outreach shall be our Education, Community Services and Job Fair site; offering guidance toward essential services,
local employment opportunities and pathways to continue or re-enter the learning environment through GED classes and enrollment
at CSU -Pueblo and Pueblo Community College.
We would sincerely welcome
your attendance and participation to display your organization, present your materials and support our local families at the
outreach.
